Text: Christy and Sascha’s story
00:00 Christy: As a mum all I want is the best for my children. For Sascha and other disabled children life isn’t always easy.
00:08 Christy: What are you doing?
00:10 Christy: Sascha was born deaf and is extremely sensitive to vibrations. When he wasn’t sleeping I felt I was failing as a mum.
00:18 Christy: I wasn’t there for my daughter. I wasn’t being a wife to my husband. It all got too much. I was completely exhausted and I felt that I couldn’t go on.
00:25 Christy: Scope’s Sleep Right service gave us the support we needed. We were told about the Sleep Right service, what they do, and what we need to do to make slight changes to his bedtime routines that made a big difference.
00:38 Christy: I remember the first time we slept through, just waking up and thinking, Gordon Bennett I need to go and check on him.
00:46 Christy: That’s the kind of difference you’re making by taking part in Make It Count.
00:50 Christy: Support Scope. Thank you
